Today is the BIG day, my birthday and I'm 30 AGAIN this year! '-)
First ~ I wanted to show some of the FABULOUS & VERY thoughtful gifts I have received earlier this week.
Joyce Stahl sent me an enchanting OOAK birthday present: "Michael Jackson Thriller" doll. If you do not know, I adore Michael Jackson and I'm his biggest fan. I'm also one of Joyce's biggest fans as well, and I am lucky enough to now own 3 of her magical creations!
JoycEE ~ I am overwhelmed by your generosity in sending me such a special gift. I will treasure my spooktacular MJ doll for many years to come. Thanks so much! IF you are not familiar with Joyce's magical dolls please visit her at her Enchanted Productions blog!
Sweet B ~ Sent me a lovely "Skelly Ball" paper mache ornament along with a recent auction win. Being the sweet candy girl that she is, she also included soda pop flavor jelly beans & chocolate Valentine's hearts. Thanks B for making my birthday SO "sweet" this year! Visit B and her delectable art goodies at her Sweet B Folk Art blog!
Crystal sent me a wonderful Edward Gorey tribute art book. Edward Gorey is one of my all-time favorite illustrators and has greatly influenced my art. Crystal you must have consulted your "crystal ball" to make such a perfect gift selection. I cherish our friendship and thanks for being SO thoughtful! Visit Crystal's dark wonders at her Gothic Rose Antiques blog!
Second ~ It's been a FULL week of celebration so far, and will continue through all weekend. I try to have the Oprah birthday and streeeeeeeeetch out the festivities as long as possible. I've had a lovely Mexican dinner out with my best friend, my Mom on Monday. I also did happy hour with some friends at a local tavern on Wed. evening.
Today's Agenda (13th) ~ Coffee & blogging fix this morning. Next off to McDonald's for two bacon egg & cheese biscuits and two hash browns for breakfast. A lovely dinner at Hunan Manor this evening with my partner. A fantastic Chinese restaurant that boasts a huge salt-water aquarium in the center of the dining room. You can see the fish swimming while you eat from any table in the house. Probably a DVD movie night at home afterwards.
Saturday the 14th ~ PARTAY ~ Going out on the town in Baltimore for a night of dancing at a local dance club (plus MANY rum & Cokes) ~ Cheers!!! '-P)
Sunday the 15th ~ Beef stroganoff family dinner hosted at my grandmother's house.
LAST but not LEAST ~ Thanks to all my friends that have sent me lovely emails, cards, & blog posts wishing me a wonderful birthday!!!
SpOOky Hugs 2 ALL
~ Thanx Patty / XOXO CK ~
