2008 ~ Year of the Rat

THE YEAR OF THE RAT, 2008

February 7, 2008 ~ January 25, 2009

According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2008 is a Year of the Rat, which begins on February 7, 2008 and ends on January 25, 2009. First in the cycle of 12 Animal signs, Rat Year begins the sequence and recurs every twelfth year. It is a time of renewal in so many ways. From New Year to Valentine's Day, to the arrival of spring, may all the blessings and delights of the New Year be yours.

A Rat Year is a time of hard work, activity, and renewal. This is a good year to begin a new job, get married, launch a product or make a fresh start. Ventures begun now may not yield fast returns, but opportunities will come for people who are well prepared and resourceful. The best way for you to succeed is to be patient, let things develop slowly, and make the most of every opening you can find.

DesignsbyCK: Wishing you and yours a most blessed year of opportunity in 2008!

Hey Chris~
I'm a monkey! We have had so much talk about rats this month. Cole wanted a pet rat, but I talked him into mice. I wish we had gone with the rat. I hear they are much cleaner and smarter. Those dang mice are so cute though.

Have a great week,
Kristen

Hi Chris, Thanks for your sweet comments. I think I'll do a blog on all the words I've coined & others have coined that pertain to Halloween. Or maybe a 'Lady Lyndy' on the meaning of Intellectual Property. I've just been waiting for the right time...

It must be coincidence with Bloody Mary & the Ouija more subjects I wrote about in eHag. Hours of research went into them. I have an extensive collection of Ouija Boards dating back to the 1850s when they were called Talking Boards. You just have to know the correct sorcerer's secret to cleansing them before bringing them home & using them, or they can be deadly.

Maybe I'll write about them with real life stories, close encounters & PICs of my vast collection later this year. I really need to get my first website finished & my art book published. The website is taking forever because it's flash.

Last but certainly not least, of course I'm a Dragon & my hubby is a Tiger. Courage with Passion or Passion with Courage can be seen in all our endeavors.

Cosmic Blessings, Lyndy

Hi Lyndy,

So nice of you to stop by! :)

I remember your posts in EHAG well and miss them!

Your Ouija board collection sounds really neat. Looking forward to you sharing more on your blog someday!

As for the Lady Lyndy endeavors...well I know that you are a perfectionist like me. Better to do things right the first time!

Lyndy you are the "luckiest" of all the Chinese signs being a dragon!

Have a GREAT & creative week!!! :)

Hugs,
Chris

This is my year, then! I'm a Rat! Lol! :) My hubby, Jon, is horse, which is ironic as I've loved horses since I was a little girl. And Jon has a thing for rodents!

I feel all the things your wrote on this year are very true and I look forward to many good changes and opportunities. :)
